therapy for young adults

I work with women and men ages 16-26(ish) grappling with the confusion and hardships of becoming an adult.

Our young adult years are filled with anticipation, disappointment, crappy jobs, break-ups, transition, quarter-life crisis, loneliness, post-college what-the-heck, a little success, and complete failure. Oh, and let’s not forget: A life-disrupting global pandemic!

While you have received lots of advice on how to keep a schedule, apply for college or find the right apartment, nobody has probably delved deeply into the emotional aspects of growing up.

If your plans are invariably derailed by anxiety, depression, anger, lack of motivation, or self-doubt, you’re in the right place. In therapy, I will help you set goals, prioritize, and be wildly successful at whatever you set out to do.

Details about therapy fees, insurance, location, etc., can be found HERE.

Some things therapy can help you do:

  • Cope with the feelings of anxiety, depression, anger, and stress that may be getting in the way of living an independent, fulfilling adult life.

  • Resolve confusion around your identity, values, and worldview.

  • Answer the question: “What am I supposed to do with my life?”

  • Navigate conflicts in personal and professional relationships.

  • Let go of perfectionism and comparing yourself to others.

  • Strengthen your willpower and overcome procrastination.

  • Avoid common mistakes of being on your own.

  • Gain a deeper understanding of what’s holding you back from living your best life.

  • Communicate your needs and set healthy boundaries.

  • Navigate conflict with intrusive, withdrawn, or critical parents.

  • Gain emotional flexibility to smash your goals and be your best self.

  • Take breaks from your phone and engage with life more directly.
